The Board meets quarterly in the Library in March, June, September, and December. For specific dates and times, please consult the Library's calendar.

Mission Statement of the Board of Trustees
Cragin Memorial Library

The mission of the Board of Trustees of Cragin Memorial Library shall be to enrich the “physical, moral and intellectual development of the inhabitants” of the Town of Colchester.  In furtherance of this mission, the Board of Trustees shall

  1. advocate and encourage the ongoing provision of library services to the Town, by advising library staff and serving as a resource for both library staff and members of Town government;
  2. foster the free flow of ideas and dialogue amongst all members of the community, by recommending and supporting appropriate and creative library programming;
  3. preserve, manage and grow the financial resources of the Board of Trustees by providing effective stewardship of trust funds in furtherance of the Board’s stated mission; and
  4. spearhead and, when appropriate, lead fundraising activities (including capital campaigns) to help ensure the long-term viability of the Library  and the services that it provides.
