Friends of Cragin Memorial Library
The goals of Friends of Cragin Memorial Library are to promote awareness and enhance use of the library by raising funds for programs, materials, equipment, and services not included in the regular library budget. The Friends support a wide range of materials and programs for a broad spectrum of ages and interests, including:
- Children's and Teen Summer Reading performances, programs, and prizes
- Museum passes providing free or reduced admission to area attractions
- Performances by professional musicians, actors, and puppeteers
- Presentations by scholars and experts
- Library Materials for all ages
With your support, we can continue to assist the Library in providing more books, quality programming, and extra library services to the people of Colchester. The Friends meet at the Library on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Zagray Room. Please feel free to join us. Volunteers to sort donations are always needed and can work any time the Library is open to the public.
The Cragin Memorial Library exists because of the generosity of those who came before us.
Please support your library today.
The Friends conduct an ongoing book sale: an ever changing collection of fiction, non-fiction and audio-visual materials. Sale bookcases are located in the Children's Room and upstairs in the Main Library. Postcards of historic sites in Colchester are for sale in the Library. Eight scenes from around town have been remade into color and sepia style postcards, available for $1 each.
