Tabulator Testing will be held on Saturday October 28th, 2023 8:30 am at The Town Hall in Room 1

Registration Session

Colchester - The Registrar of Voters will hold a registration session on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm in the Registrars office at Colchester Town Hall, 27 Norwich Avenue Colchester, CT. This is the last regular session for admission of electors for those who become 18 years of age, US Citizens or Residents of the town on or before October 31st, 2023. Those whose rights as to age, citizenship or residence mature after the above date may apply in the office on a daily basis until the opening of the limited session on November 6th, 2023, or at such limited session.

BALLOT & TABULATOR TESTING

The Registrars of Voters plan to test the Budget Referendum ballots and voting tabulators, on Saturday, August 5, beginning at 9 am.

The testing shall take place at Town Hall located at 127 Norwich Avenue, Colchester, CT. 

The public is invited to observe.

 

OVERVIEW


The Registrars follow the statutes and laws of the Secretary of The State which are monitored by the State’s Election Enforcement Commission. The registrars budget is established and supported by the town. The Registrars’ of Voters are responsible for running local, state & federal elections, referenda & primaries for the town while adhering to state election laws. Maintaining the voter database for the town through voter registration & a yearly canvass is integral to the voting process & follows state election laws.
