Mission Statement:
Colchester Parks and Recreation Department strives to build a stronger, healthier, more active community by providing safe and attractive parks and facilities and offering interesting and exciting programs and events that bring our residents together.
The Recreation Division administers a wide variety of programs and services for all ages and interests, including summer day camp, instructional programs, trips, special events (57 Fest, Summer Concerts), community theater and orchestra, sports, after-school programs, and more.
The Parks Maintenance Division is coordinated under the supervision of the Public Works Department, (860) 537-7288. The Parks Division maintains approximately 360 acres of public land, town parks, open space, municipal and school grounds, and athletic facilities. Additionally, they provide snow removal for all town and school properties, including sidewalks.
