First Selectman's Report: 3/6 - 3/10

Car Wash

1. On Tuesday, I had the honor of presenting the FY 23-24 budget to the Public and to the Board of Finance. I have recommended a slight decrease in the overall expenditure budget from FY 22-23. This budget includes many new initiatives such as two new firefighters/EMS, a part-time senior services medical driver, historical document preservation, transparency software, a facilities maintainer, increased spending on grounds and field maintenance, and increased spending on tree removal. It should be noted that FY 23-24 Budget Presentation was recently fine-tuned due to contractual salary adjustments and adding a membership that was missed during initial review. The Town Budget workshop will be this Monday at 6 PM.
