First Selectman's Report: 2/6 – 2/10/2023

1. The Board of Selectmen will be interviewing multiple qualified candidates for the position of Finance Director on Thursday, February 16th. The Town has been working actively to fill in the recent void, and we are excited to meet the candidates.
2. New Initiative for Proposed Budget 23-24: Two Additional Career Firefighters/EMT

3. The Colchester Community Theater will be presenting Young Frankenstein. Performance dates are Friday, February 17th, at 7:00 pm, Saturday, February 18th, at 2:00 pm & 7:00 pm, and Sunday, February 19th, at 2:00 pm at Bacon Academy High School Auditorium, 611 Norwich Avenue in Colchester, CT. 4. Shell Gas Station
This week I had the opportunity to talk to Shell Gas Station manager Ketan Thaker. Located at 339 Old Hartford, this location opened in 2022 as a revitalized gas station and brand-new convenience store. Next time you are in the area, make sure you say hi to Ketan and his wonderful staff!!
