1. The Town and Board of Education Budgets will be presented to the public and Board of Finance on Tuesday, March 7th at 6 PM. This will be a hybrid meeting and you can find the link to the meeting here: https://www.colchesterct.gov/board-finance/events/114041

2. The Town of Colchester would like to send its condolences and prayers to the family and loved ones of Nicholas Norton. Nick Norton was a not only a titan in our community, but also well loved and respected person. I am personally glad to have known him. His legacy is an inspiration to us all.

3. National Women’s History Month: This month we honor the women who have changed our nation through their perseverance, ingenuity, and unrelenting spirit. Our American life, culture, government, family, and traditions have been shaped by their spirit, beliefs, and determination. This month represents so much to so many, and the Town of Colchester is committed to supporting today’s women as they embark on shaping their legacy. Please see the flyer which highlights national holidays and community celebrations in March.

4. Colchester in the News: Public Works

A special shout out to Tim Angell, Jim Goselin, and the Colchester Public Works Department for a job well done this winter storm. Channel 3 joined them Tuesday night.

5. The Friends of Cragin Memorial Library are holding a book and bake sale beginning Friday, March 3rd from 4 pm to 7 pm. The book sale will extend until Wednesday, March 8th during normal library hours.

6. Clearing of the trees at the new senior center location have begun.

7. Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community and Colchester is fortunate to have a fantastic foundation. Our local pizza restaurants are wonderful, and they are treasured by all of us. Today, Colchester Pizza made Channel 3's Round of 16 in their best pizza playoffs. No matter the outcome, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to my dad and Duane for their 35 years of pizza making and investment into our community. Love you both.

8. Reliable Auto Center

This week, I met with Troy Marvin, the manager of Reliable Auto Center. Not only is Troy a wonderful person who works with a great staff, but he has managed to capture a Predator too!!

Located at 522 Norwich Ave in Colchester, Reliable Auto Center has been serving our great community for over 22 years by offering vehicle modification and repair services. They offer basic repair services, fleet services, fluid film treatments, and more.
