6. Weekly Farm Spotlight: Looking for a pet goat this holiday season? If your lot is over 100,000 square feet and zoned for rural use, you can purchase a goat (or two) from Timberdoodle Farm in Colchester. Timberdoodle is a 5+ acre farm that has been raising Nigerian dwarf goats and other goat breeds for over four decades. They are located at 235 Bull Hill Road and are an integral part of the farming community in Colchester. Most goat buyers enjoy the goats they purchase as pets (if you buy two, they will keep one another company), and some breed the goats to have goat's milk—a healthy and rewarding by-product of having a few goats. Goat milk soap has also become a popular consumer product.

Owners Carla Roselli and her husband, Joe, will occasionally do holiday photos of individuals or families sitting with an adorably sweet mini goat. They can be reached at 203-415-2598. Follow them on Facebook or check out their website: Timberdoodlefarm.net.

7. Wadsworth Atheneum Festival of Trees and Traditions - Dec 1 -11, 2022. Colchester Garden Club Donation.

The Colchester Garden Club saved the decorations that donned the Cragin Memorial Library holiday flagpole planter made by students from Mrs. Elliot's second-grade class and Mrs. Taylor's fifth-grade class in 2021 as a community service project with one of the Colchester Garden Club members. This year the decorations are on a decorated tree donated by the Colchester Garden Club to the Wadsworth Atheneum Festival of Trees fundraising event titled: "Spreading Kindness: By Children for Children."

The Festival of Trees and Traditions event is scheduled from December 1st - December 11th. We hope you will make going one of your own holiday traditions this year and enjoy our CGC-decorated tree when there. Event details may be found at https://www.thewadsworth.org/festivaloftrees.
