Social Services

Our Social Service programs are designed to assist individuals and families in meeting their basic needs, foster independence and promote self-sufficiency while maintaining dignity and privacy.

All residents who are looking for assistance are asked to fill out this Social Services Application.. Once you have completed the Social Services Application, you will receive a follow up phone call. If you can't complete the intake form on your own, please call for assistance.

Energy Assistance

Social Services serves as an intake site for the CT Energy Assistance Program which is administered by TVCCA in Norwich. The program provides qualified residents with heating assistance.

Food Bank

Social Services works to eliminate hunger in Colchester by providing food and other necessities to our most vulnerable neighbors in a dignified and respectful manner. If you are struggling to buy food for yourself or your family, please contact us.  An appointment is required, so please call ahead.

Fuel Bank

The Colchester Fuel Bank is funded entirely by donations from generous community members. The Fuel Bank makes it possible for residents in need to receive small oil deliveries during the Winter months to cover the gap between other heating delivery programs.

Renters' Rebate Program

Social Services serves as an application site for the CT Renters' Rebate Program which is available for CT residents who are elderly (age 65+), or over the age of 18 and eligible to receive Social Security Disability and qualify based on their income.
