Youth Center Drop In

Colchester Youth Services provides Drop In hours for middle school students on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Youth are expected to walk to the Youth Center (located at 40 Norwich Ave) directly after school. Pre-registration is not required but is highly preferred for the safety and well-being of all participants. Online registration must be completed within one week after the first time the youth attends the Youth Center. During drop-in, kids can have a snack, play pool, air hockey, video games, basketball and more. We also have crafts, spaces to relax, and a reading/homework area. Weather permitting, we offer organized activities on the Green.

This program provides a safe, drug and alcohol-free drop-in center for middle school kids. The Youth Center is a place where kids feel safe and comfortable and have the opportunity to “just be kids” for a while. While at the Youth Center, we hope that they feel connected to one or more of our staff members and look to us as role models and sounding boards, should they need that. Drop In is staffed by our full-time program coordinators as well as part-time youth center supervisors.

Drop In is currently running and open to any Colchester middle school student! Registration is free and covers all full-day Mondays & Wednesdays throughout the 2023-24 school year. Members may attend on any Mondays and/or Wednesdays.
