april

MIDDLE SCHOOL

After 2:

Are you looking for a safe, engaging and inspiring place for your middle school student to thrive after school? Join us at After 2. The program operates Monday through Thursday on full days of school throughout the school year. Registration is for Colchester students in grades 6, 7 and 8. No minimum attendance days required. Your child can attend After 2 from one time to four times a week! $0 fee. After 2 offers a safe place to hang out with peers, make new friends, get homework completed, play games, sports, do arts and crafts, video games and more! Snacks are provided each day.

HIGH SCHOOL

Youth Action Council:

A group for Colchester students in grades 9-12 who would like to make a difference in our local community. For students who would like their voices heard, develop leadership skills and the chance to speak with Town leaders. YAC runs from 2:15pm-3:30pm once a week. Free to join. Youth Action Council meets on Mondays after school at Bacon Academy throughout the school year. For more information or if you're interested, you can email Marquis Lawson at [email protected].


INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL

Building Blocks:

Mondays 3:15pm to 4:30pm starting March 16th through April 27th @ WJJMS

Building Blocks: A Lego Club offers students in grades 4 & 5 a group to work together on teamwork, communication and have fun while using Lego! 

Work of Art:

Wednesdays 3:15pm to 4:30pm starting March 4th through April 29th @ WJJMS

This group focuses on practicing methods of de-stressing with fun art projects for 3rd graders. Work of Art will provide a safe and exciting space for kids and will create an environment for building self-esteem while exploring art!

Get Outside:

This group is for 4th and 5th graders who want to get outside, explore nature, geocache and make nature inspired crafts! This group was so popular in the fall we brought it back for the spring. We will also take Van trips to locations around town, such as Ruby Cohen Park and other fun spots! We will start on March 12th and go through April 23rd. We will NOT meet on 4/16. Your child will be picked up by youth services staff from parent pick up at JJIS and transported to WJJMS by the 11 passenger van or walking the path if it is a nice day. New members only, if your child has already participated in Get Outside last year, please do not register them for this session.
