Interested in making a difference in your community?  Join us at a Youth Action Council meeting to check it out!

YAC meets weekly after school on Thursdays at Bacon Academy in room 2109.  Transportation is available for WJJMS students after school.

Youth Action Council supports the work of the Youth First Coalition, providing the youth voice to the prevention and wellness initiatives of the coalition.

  • YAC planned & participated in Mental Health Awareness Week at Bacon Academy and WJJMS. 
  • YAC also designed a vaping prevention and education campaign called "Clear the Air".
  • YAC students participated in the Community Wellness Fair at WJJMS promoting their vaping prevention messaging with give-away merchandise featuring their custom logo and hashtag.
  • YAC members also attended a prevention conference in Florida in July 2022 
  • YAC also participates in creating content for the coalition's social media platforms.
