Marriage License Information
Are you getting married? Congratulations! Marriage Licenses are available during all office hours. The license may only be obtained in the town where the marriage ceremony is taking place. You have 65 days from the day you get your license to get married. The fee is $50.00. Both parties must come in with a valid government issued photo ID. Please allow for 20-30 minutes to complete the marriage license. Please download and complete the Marriage License Worksheet below.
Any certified copies you need will be an additional cost. One is not automatically sent to you. Please click here to find out how to obtain a certified copy once you have been married.
If you do not have an officiant yet, below is a list of Colchester Justices of the Peace. We do not provide someone to perform your ceremony.
