Planning & Zoning Commission

The Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) is the body that regulates land use and development. The PZC accomplishes this mainly through application of the Zoning Code. The code includes sections on land uses, landscaping, parking, signage, design and other standards. The PZC meets twice a month on the first and third Weds. The commission is also responsible for long term planning and deals with town wide issues such as economic development, agriculture and other. The PZC is also responsible for preservation and review of the Towns Plan of Conservation and Development which establishes a longer range policy framework for land use decisions.
