March 16 COVID-19 Update

Dear Residents of Colchester

Today, our number of cases in CT rose to 41.  We are on a trajectory to overwhelm our resources and so we are continuing to take strong action to flatten the curve.  First I want to say I know how scared some of you are.  I know because you have told me and I am listening.  None of these decisions to close or reduce services are done without careful consideration of the impact to all of you.  We have some great leaders in the state and we are working together to clear the path for meeting this challenge head on and being victorious.  Please know everyone here is working to keep you and your family safe.

I have added some new resources and updates to our page.  I will begin holding a Facebook Live session twice a day, starting with tomorrow.  We will post a schedule in the morning.  It will give you an opportunity to ask your questions and for me to learn more about your concerns.  The community of Colchester has the strength to survive this if we pull together.  I know you will join me and the staff here to put Community First.
