Volunteer Sought For Colchester Board of Finance

Due to a resignation, there is a Democrat vacancy on the Board of Finance. The Board of Finance will appoint a replacement to fill the vacancy until the 2021 municipal election. Per the town charter, the replacement must be a member of the same political party as the person who resigned. To qualify, applicants must be a Colchester citizen and a Democrat.

The Board of Finance is a 6 member elected body responsible for the finances of Colchester including the development and presentation of the annual budget to the town. They meet the first and third Wednesday of every month at 7PM but often hold multiple special meetings during the budget creation process.
