Backyard Birds

Norton Room A
Event Date:
Thursday, February 21, 2019 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

The Colchester Land Trust and Cragin Memorial Library would like to invite all who are interested in birds, birding and gardening with birds in mind to attend our upcoming Backyard Birds presentation at the Cragin Memorial Library on February 21st at 6:30 pm. The evening offers an opportunity to learn about attracting and supporting the bird species found in Colchester backyards and other areas of the Lyme Forest Block, an Audubon-designated Important Bird Area (IBA).

Corrie Folsom O'Keefe, Bird Conservation Programs Manager from Audubon Connecticut, will give an overview of the Lyme Forest Block, which includes a portion of Colchester. Ellen Falbowski, former co-chair of the Community Wildlife Habitat of Colchester, will share photos and tips on providing food, water, shelter, and places for local birds to raise their young.
