Emergency Siren Notification System
The Town of Colchester Emergency Management and Fire
Department, are in the process of maintaining, testing, and
repairing the Emergency Siren Notification System located
throughout the town.  The system is in place to be used
during an actual or potentially life threatening emergency.
The sirens have a public address system which would be
used to make an area wide announcement, with
instructions, if required. Some of the sirens are also used
for notifications to the volunteer firefighters and medical
personnel, under normal conditions, between the hours of
6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Occasional testing of these units will be
performed in the near future. We will be testing all the sirens,
on a routine basis, on the 1st Saturday of each month at 11 a.m.
Should you have any questions please contact the
Fire Department at 860-537-2512.
