Traffic Warning
Town wide street centerline line painting is
scheduled to occur during overnight on
August 28, 2016 to August 29, 2016. Motorists are
to keep back from line painting vehicles, to obey
speed limits and maintain their vehicles within
the established roadway lanes.

Vacancy on Police Commission
There is currently a member vacancy, all party
affiliations and unaffiliated electors are encouraged to
apply. Colchester residents interested in interviewing
before the Board of Selectmen for the vacancy should
fill out a Board/Commission application and submit to
the First Selectman's Office, 127 Norwich Ave.

2016 Road Improvement Work Scheduled
to begin 8/4/2016
Motorists can expect delays while construction is occurring
and the Town requests that drivers be patient and follow
the directions of the traffic control personnel
at each site.

Colchester 2016 Revaluation Update

Eversource Upgrading Electric System in Colchester
This summer, the company is investing more than
$825,000 in system improvements.  Work includes installing new,
stronger, and thicker utility poles and plastic-coated
electric lines, which can better withstand extreme
weather. The project includes replacing approximately 87 utility
poles and installing about one mile of tree wire in town.
The work is taking place along Lebanon Ave and Norwich Ave.
Customers may experience short power interruptions at times during
the course of the project so crews can safely perform the work.
The project is expected to be complete by October.

Tax Bills

Atlantic Hurricane Season
Governor Dannel Malloy and state emergency management officials
are reminding CT residents to be prepared for any severe weather
that may impact the state. The hurricane season runs from June 1st
to November 30th, with the principal threat period for CT occuring
from mid-August to mid-October.

manage farm risk and a risk managment program update.
