Road Work Schedule
The 2018-2019 Town of Colchester roadway improvement program will commence on Wednesday July 11, 2018. Cold In Place Asphalt Recycling will be occurring on Old Hartford Road from the Route 2 On-Ramp westerly to the bridge over Judd Brook. Following this, the same process will be occurring on Deer Run for the length of the road. This method is a two step process where the existing pavement is recycled, then allowed to set up, (approximately 3 to 4 weeks) and then a new 1.5 inch~asphalt cap is placed over the roadway as the final surface course.~ Driveway aprons are then adjusted where necessary to maintain road gutter lines.~
Motorist should expect to encounter delays and traffic personnel will be on site to direct motorists in the construction areas.~~

Trail Map Guide
With the funds received from a CT DEEP Recreational Trails Program Grant, the Town of Colchester partnered with the Chatham Health District to develop this Trail Map Guide. The purpose for this guide is to encourage physical activity by promoting the use of our region's amazing network of walking trails. The Trail Map Guide includes a listing and the general location of the public trail systems within the six towns in the Chatham District (Colchester, East Haddam, East Hampton, Hebron, Marlborough and Portland). The guide also includes a full-page map showing users the approximate location of each trail facility. The guide can be printed by clicking on the link, or they are also available at the Colchester Town Clerk's Office.
