Winter Colchester Story Walk
All are invited to plan a winter adventure with their young children to the Cohen Woodlands' Colchester Story Walk, and read together the most recent book Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner. After reading the story, plan to hike on one of the park's three trails to find evidence of animals in winter. A park/trail map may be printed from tinyurl.com/gv23okn.
The Colchester Story Walk is a collaboration of Cragin Memorial Library, the Collaborative for Colchester's Children, Colchester Garden Club, Colchester Land Trust, and Community Wildlife Habitat of Colchester. It provides a walking experience to families to read a book focused on nature, wildlife or gardening while enjoying the park's open space natural setting.
Cohen Woodlands is off route 354, onto McDonald Road. The parking lot is on the right. The StoryWalk Trail begins on the right side of the field near the tree line.
