Colchester Youth & Social Services’ Junk in the Trunk Tag Sale – Vendor Rules & Regulations
Colchester Youth & Social Services are hosting their first annual Junk in the Trunk Tag Sale Extravaganza! This event will be held in the front Bacon Academy parking lot, 611 Norwich Ave, Colchester, CT 06415 on Sunday, October 1st from 8am-12pm.

WHAT IS THE JUNK IN THE TRUNK TAG SALE?
Junk in the Trunk is our first annual tag-sale & flea market that is held right out of your own trunk! Register for a parking spot and you can pull your car, van, truck or SUV into a spot and sell your merchandise! Feel free to bring your own tables and chairs. Tag-sale items, homemade goods and consultants from companies are all welcome! Vendors can register for a spot for $20, $25 day-of. Registration fees will all directly benefit Colchester Youth Services’ Scholarships Fund. Vendors keep all profits from selling merchandise.
WHAT CAN I SELL?
You can sell almost anything! With the exception of alcohol, weapons, tobacco products or pornography.
HOW CAN I SIGN UP?
You can complete our Vendor Application, attached above, and mail it in with your $20 registration fee. You may also drop the application & payment off at our office. You can pay by credit card (information is needed on application), cash or checks may payable to Colchester Youth Services. Our address is Youth Services, 127 Norwich Ave, Suite 205, Colchester, CT 06415.
WHO CAN REGISTER?
Anyone with merchandise to sell! If you have unwanted clothing, household items, kid’s toys or are a consultant for a company, make your own homemade items and more, this event is for you! This event is open to everyone, not just Colchester residents!
CAN I SET UP MY SPOT PRIOR TO THE EVENT?
Set-up will be between 7am-8am on the morning of Sunday, October 1st. Cars will not be permitted to move from the lot from 8am-12pm for the safety of patrons and vendors.
WILL THE EVENT CONTINUE IF IT IS RAINING?
There is no rain date for this event. If the weather is unbearable, the event will be cancelled and registration fees will be refunded.
WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO ELECTRICITY/POWER SOURCE?
There will be NO access to electricity or a power source of any kind. Sellers may use battery powered devices in their booth, but may NOT use portable generators.
WILL I BE PROVIDED WITH A TABLE TO DISPLAY MY ITEMS?
You are responsible for providing all your own displays, including tables and chairs if desired. Table & chairs are welcome though!
WHAT IF I PRE-PAY BUT CAN’T COME THE DAY OF THE EVENT?
All registration fees are nonrefundable unless the event is cancelled.
WILL THERE BE A PLACE TO DONATE ITEMS AFTER THE SALE?
Unfortunately not, all items that are not sold must be removed from the parking lot by 1pm. Left items will be subject to CT illegal dumping laws and vendors failing to comply will be banned from future events.
DO I KEEP ALL MY PROCEEDS?
Yes! You keep all the proceeds from your sales that day. The registration cost of $20, $25 day-of, is the only fee due to Colchester Youth & Social Services.
