Food Bank
Youth & Social Services works to eliminate hunger in Colchester by providing food and other necessities to our most vulnerable neighbors in a dignified and respectful manner. The food bank serves hundreds of families every year, with about 60-100 families utilizing the service each month. The food bank is available to any Colchester resident who is in need; regardless of age, job status or family size.
Donations
All of the food is donated or purchased with donated funds generously given by Colchester citizens, businesses and civic groups. We only exist because of the kindness of our donors. Donations can be dropped off at our office in Town Hall, suite 205. We happily accept unopened food that is not expired.
Each month we publish the “Food Bank 5”, a list of the 5 most needed items for the month. The list can be found on the website or in the local papers.
